Crazy story: So I'm in NYC with my boys Yusuf, Jasper and Jamal and we decide to ball out and hop in a limo to ride out to the club. The driver starts talkin to us and says, "You know who I drive for actually? You guys heard of a rapper named 'Wale'?" Of course, we're buggin out because we literally were listenin to 100 Miles & Runnin' on the way to NYC, but then the driver asks if we want to talk to him. So he hits up Wale, we get the voicemail ("Right person at the wrong time") and we leave him a drunk voicemail from the limp. (no homo) Here are three new Wale tracks... and because I've got an interview up in the District on Wednesday, you might be getting a lot more DC area music very soon.

This is a little promo video for Opio of Souls of Mischeif's new solo project, Vulture's Wisdom Vol. 1. It features a clip of Kanye speaking on "'93 Til Infinity" which happens to be one of my all-time FAVORITES; during his Life & Rhymes special on MTV and Just Blaze and John Mayer jamming over the same track at The ALife Sessions.

New Kanye: Lollipop (Remix) & Put On

So after posting that "Everybody Nose (Remix)" yesterday, I realized that Kanye has been goin OFF recently. Then I checked out the new "Lollipop (Remix)" and I started thinking... maybe he's going super hard because the 2008 MTV Hottest MC rankings are being revealed FRIDAY. You can still vote here. , but I think it would be a shame if Kanye doesn't take the top spot this year. Yeah, Lil Wayne is still hot despite not dropping an album since 2005 (DAMN!) but Kanye's grind has been somethin serious lately. The remix to "Lollipop" is hot, in part because Wayne actually raps. I miss that guy. (pause)

New N.E.R.D. tracks

So I posted "Everybody Nose" a few months back and it's grown on me since initially hating it. "Spazz" on the other hand is BANANAS on the first listen and I'm probably looking forward to this album now more than any other. "Spazz" can be heard on the new Zune commercials, where you can get a glipse of the album cover for N.E.R.D.'s next album Seeing Sounds (not N.3.R.D., like previously thought). I wish I could have seen them at the Glow in the Dark Tour.
